4. Data science in health care

The healthcare industry generates massive amounts of useful data on patient demographics, treatment plans, medical examination results, insurance, and so on. Data collected from IT devices, genomics, scientific research, clinical diagnosis, prescription, and e Health Records databases can be used as input to process, manage, analyse, and assimilate the massive amounts of fragmented, structured, and unstructured data generated by healthcare systems. To obtain factual results with the help of a data scientist, this data requires effective management and analysis. The application of big data, AI, and automation is now unavoidable due to the nature of data, the velocity of data generation, and the heterogeneity of data. The useful data generated by health care is beyond the capabilities of human analytics.
